A seed money project of the Department funded by the Management. The project gives opportunity for the budding entrepreneurs to showcase their idea of entrepreneurship. So far the department has given chance for about 250 students to display their products.
A cultural meet organised since 2009 for the Special children from Trichy district. Various competitions like colouring, singing, dancing, fancy dress, ball passing and puzzle completion are conducted according to their mental age.
It was Inaugurated in our College Campus on 13-08-2013 by Our honorable Secretry Shri.N.Kasthurirangan.This counseling centre was opened for the use of Public.As it was mainly opened for the use of Public, meditation hall was also opened in the centre.Social Work Staff will counsel the public and students.Our Principal Dr.J .Radhika gave Chieh guest address.Mr.M.Pitchaimani felicitated the program
The first year and second year students are sent for concurrent field work for three days in a week to the agencies (Hospitals/ Industry/ Psychiatric clinics/ NGOs) in and around Trichy. Also the students are taken for observation visits during their first and third semester. The aim of such activity is to give orientation to the various fields of Social Work.

The Department faculties practice conventional chalk talk method along with ICT enabled teaching. Also to provoke the critical thinking and analytical skills of the students, group discussion debate and seminar presentations are conducted.
