The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous) was established in 2008 with the vision of addressing the diverse socio-economic challenges and varied geographical backgrounds of the heterogeneous student community. Since its inception, the Cell has been committed to guiding and supporting students in making informed career choices and preparing them for higher education and employment opportunities. It gathers and disseminates information on career avenues, placements, higher education, scholarships, and overseas education, while organizing seminars, workshops, training programmes, and skill-development initiatives to enhance students’ employability. The Cell also strives to promote discipline, a healthy outlook, positive attitudes, national integration, inclusiveness, and freedom from narrow provincial preferences and prejudices, thereby contributing to the holistic development of students.

ObjectivesThe primary objective of the Career Guidance & Placement Cell is to gather, analyse, and disseminate relevant information on career opportunities, higher education, scholarships, competitive examinations, and placement avenues. It seeks to equip students with the necessary employability and soft skills through structured training and career-oriented programmes, facilitate meaningful industry interactions and placement opportunities, and guide students in making informed career decisions. The Cell also aims to nurture confidence, communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, workplace etiquette, and adaptability, while promoting discipline, healthy outlook, social responsibility, national integration, and respect for diversity.
