Introduction

Since its inception from 2005, Village Adoption Scheme strives to equip and familiarise the faculty, with the socio-economic dimensions of the rural communities, status of sustainable use of natural resources, changing perceptions& aspirations, priorities and innovative effort of the rural communities for sustainable development and; enable/inspire the community for self-help to roll out strategies, methodologies, processes to develop sustainably and create cohesive communities where every individual gets equal opportunity to realise his/her potential.

Objectives

• • To strengthen the attitude of the school students towards higher education. The students are imparted with the knowledge on the values in life.
• • To mould the students into good citizens with responsibility, accountability and integrity for a better future.
• • To unshackle the hidden talents of the students by conducting competitions for them.
• To conduct awareness programmes on various social issues and health issues.
• • To provide Career guidance to the students.
• • To identify the needs of the student community in education and to help them.
