Code of Conduct

Rules and Regulations

Discipline takes priority over other things in the campus and strictly enforced. Students should adhere to the rules and regulations and guidelines that may be issued from time to time. Any breach of etiquette or damage to property or misconduct affecting the reputation of the institution is viewed seriously. Any student or group of students indulging any act of indiscipline or damage are proceeded with dismiss from the college.

The college management has it as a part of its mission to inculcate moral and spiritual values through best practices within the campus, enabling the students to develop selfdiscipline with good conduct,character and integrity in every student.

  • Punctuality
  • Punctuality is a prime consideration and those who are late without valid reasons will not be permitted into classes.

  • Entry - Exit
  • All students should enter and exit the campus through the allocated gate.Vehicles of students should be parked in the area provided for them.

  • Leave Rules
  • Leave exceeding fifteen days requires the sanction of the Principal. The parent should seek Permission in person well in advance.

  • Attendance
  • Students securing 75% of attendance in the semester are eligible to register for the examination; Students those securing 65% to 74% of attendance should pay thecondonationofRs.750/-.those securing below 50% are not eligible.

  • Attendance - Internal Examination and Tests
  • Attendance for the examination and tests is compulsory. Absenting themselves for the internal examination and tests will have serious consequences, including that of denying registration for semester examination. Those who want to avail themselves of leave of absence on genuine grounds should seek prior permission from the HOD

  • Malpractice in examinations
  • Any form of copying in an examination is an offence. A student found copying, attempting to copy or engaging in conversation with another student is liable to be punished under the provision of Examination regulations.

  • Ragging
  • Students indulging in ragging / teasing of fellow students in the college campus / hostel will be immediately dismissed from the college and the same will be communicated to the police for appropriate legal action. Students are instructed and expected to behave with dignity and maintain decorum in both inside and outside the college.

  • Notice Board
  • It is the duty & responsibility of all students to see the notice boards as a routine practice. Plea of ignorance of any notice put up on the board will not be accepted as an excuse for failing to comply with the same.

  • Dress Code
  • The students should dress neatly and modestly. Round necked T-Shirts / Printed Banians are strictly prohibited. Girls should wear salwar with modest design & duppattas are neatly pinned.

  • Health and Hygiene
  • Personal Health,hygiene and keeping the environment clean and tidy are fundamental requirement. Any student found chewing nuts, paan, smoking and using intoxicating products in the campus will be dismissed from the college immediately. Legal action will be taken against students found smoking with in the visinity of the college campus.

  • Cell Phones
  • Students are strictly prohibited from using cell phones within the campus. Mobile phones will be seized immediately if students are found using inside the campus.

  • College property
  • Severe action will be taken against students found causing damage to college property. If the individual is not identified, the cost of the damaged property will be collectively recovered from those who are all present in the place of incident.

  • Others
  • Collection of money directly/indirectly or through selling of tickets /vouchers for any events/functions/ceremony not authorised by the management of the college is not permitted.

    Students are strictly refrained from gossip & hate mongering/spreading of unwarranted rumours directly/indirectly through any forms in media.Infringement of this will have serious consequences like dismissal from college and appropriate legal actions.


    Timings
    • The teaching faculty should strictly adhere to the preset timing.
    • No permission will be given to leave the campus before the end of the working hours (09.00 am – 4.00 pm - Monday - Friday).
    Permission, Casual leave, Special Casual Leave, On Duty & Special Permission
    • The teaching faculty can avail two permissions per month, either in the first or the last working hour and no permission can be availed during the working hours.
    • In an academic year teachers can avail 12 days of CL, after which the leave will be considered as LOP.
    • Special Casual Leave can be availed to attend conferences, seminars, workshops, Swayam examination and for Ph. D works (10 days per year).
    • Leave availed by staff for doing last rites of their parents will be considered as Special Leave for the maximum period of 5 days and can be availed in parts.
    • On Duty will be permitted for Sports, Cultural Activities, Co-Curricular Activities and Industrial Visit With prior Permission From the Principal.
    • Special Permission (15 days per year) will be sanctioned for Central Valuation/Practical Examination, Doctoral Committee Meeting, BOS Meeting, Senate Meeting and Resource Person.
    • Medical Leave Will be Sanctioned as per instuation norms.
    Vacation
    • The month of May will be declared as Vacation for staff provided there are no special activities in the college.
    • The vacation may be cancelled if circumstances demand.
    • There will be no winter vacation.
    Teaching
    • The work load of the teaching faculty will be 18 hrs / week.
    • Every teacher is expected to prepare teaching materials for the smart class and they can make use of innovative methods of teaching.
    • Lesson plan has to be prepared well in advance by the faculty.
    • Classes should be learner centric and faculty should complete the portions on time with revision.
    • The teaching faculty should provide study materials to the students.
    • The teaching faculty shall conduct class tests; shall give activity based assignments to students and should submit the marks within the stipulated time to the COE.
    Other Duties
    • Every staff member will be assigned additional duties as and when needed.
    • Staff will be members of various committees of the college and are expected to carry out all the duties assigned.
    • The members will be holding responsibility as co-curricular Club co-ordinators and they should conduct activities to keep the respective club vibrant.

    • Staff working in the college office or departments should remain on duty during college hours (9.00 am to 4.00 p.m - Monday to Friday) and will follow all accepted rules and regulations gorverning the institution.
