Note 1: With effect from 2015-16 batch onwards, internal marks will be taken for 40% and external marks will be taken for 60% to arrive at the final total of 100 marks. However this is not applicable for the earlier batches. To arrive at the total marks, the formula is (internal marks * 0.4 + external marks * 0.6).

Note 2: In case of Post-graduate students, they should get an aggregate of 50 marks in internal and external for passing a course. For example, if a student gets 42 in internal and 46 in external, he/she should reappear in external exam since he/she has not secured the minimum aggregate marks; however, he/she need not redo the internal components. Also, if a student gets 35 in internal and 70 in external, he/she need not reappear in the external exam; however, he/she should redo the internal components.

Note 3: A student who has not secured the minimum internal marks shall be allowed to appear in the semester examinations. However the result will not be declared unless the student secures the minimum internal marks within a month of declaring the result.
