The department of commerce came into existence in the year 1996 with the introduction of B.Com programme. It started offering M.Com programme in the year 2004 and M.Phil programme in the year 2007. The department was elevated as Research centre in the year 2011.

Our Department aims to foster ethical and moral values for the development of students as effective professionals and also enhance entrepreneurial qualities with leadership skills.

Department of Commerce was established in the year 1996.
